First time to this location, been to the ones in Texas. Can't say I love the seating and serving arrangements, though it is an old theater, so they probably can't do the aisles in front for servers to walk in or raised seating at all. Had a great time here, but the main thing holding it back for me was that despite it being a 70mm movie, the screen wasn't nearly big enough to really enjoy that aspect of it. Still looking forward to hopefully not having to travel so far for an Alamo when they open in Mountain View and Santa Clara!

We went here again for The Brutalist 70mm experience! It was overall a great time yet again! Seeing all the 3-star reviews ALONG with experiencing what people were saying in the theater that night makes my mind boggle in how entitled people are and don't understand reviewing with context. The first thing some woman says when she sits down is, "omg we are on the side and its a terrible angle!" Like....what do you expect coming to an old theater? It wasn't designed for JUST movies. And I see folks docking it down for the service and how the waiters comin' by may be distracting. *ahem* you're in public, sweetheart. They're serving folks for the experience of eating churro laced popcorn in a classic theater setting getting served drinks leaning back. How deeply seated must one's self-importance be to act this way? Also, don't be afraid to shush people. This is a communal experience. This lady (on 1/9 Row 6 Seat 4 lol) was incessantly talking throughout the ENTIRE movie. It was as though her constant talking stemmed from a lifetime of unchecked indulgence. So during the climax of The Brutalist, the wife let out a firm "SHHH". And I felt/saw the nods of everyone in acceptance. Again, you're in public watching a movie. Check those social cues and you might find yourself growing as an individual. Yes the food and drinks are a bit on the pricier side. But you're in the City being served frickin' drinks from the comfort of your own seat in the HEART of the Mission. What more do these people want? Oh and they have curated previews towards the showing; such as, early Adrien Brody commercials, memes, behind the scenes, retro commercials that are from the 50s (post ww2 vibes). I will say, we sat on the far right, we did hear constant talking from the outside exit doors. I think it was a break area - tbh I'm not sure. It was fine but just so y'all know. Just here to reaffirm my 5-star update and rant about folks who don't know how to act. This is a fantastic date night spot that captures the classic movie theater vibes along with a unique service experience. Its not Dolby sound modern theater viewing, so get your vibe check in place. Enjoy what you have people, because for the most part, you don't know what you got until its gone.

Yes I'm a bit distracted by the food while watching the movie but it is such a good way to experience a movie you've been really looking forward to. I go to Alamo for the special movies that get me excited. I'll splurge a bit. Get some food, a milkshake, walk around the halls to check out the movie art posters, have a good time. Worth it! -truffle popcorn: DELIGHTFUL. What a buttery salty goodness of a theater treat. This is the only time I eat popcorn, when watching a movie. The portion is SO BIG, def share this with at LEAST 2 people. I never finish and have leftovers. Did you know you can ask for TO GO boxes?! It took me a few years until someone told me -pepperoni pizza: the crust is thin and crunchy so good! I was surprised by this and happy. -burger/fries: tasty but not as amazing as their other offerings -milkshake: sometimes there are themed ones based on what movie is out. During Wicked movie, there was a green emerald milkshake with peppermint candy cane crushed bits. Unavailable when I went two times sadly but I saw it on the menu Something I just found out:There's a pinball arcade upstairs! All movie themed so walk through just to take a look at what they have Restrooms on second floor smelled so awful. It's coming from the sewer or something, hard not to throw up. Get out of there fast Service is efficient. Server stays the same. Different food runners will literally run the order to you as they duck to avoid getting in people's view during the movie and rush the food to your table then run off again. It's pretty funny and appreciated. I guess timing depends on how slammed they are. Two friends said it was extremely slow for them and didn't get popcorn until almost end of movie (bummer), which never happened to me. I go early before the showing and place my order asap. DOORS OPEN 30mins BEFORE SHOWTIME. Food comes around the beginning of the movie so I spend the next hour eating. If you're late you will not be let in and will have to change your ticket to a later showing, if available. So PLAN AHEAD especially for parking in the Mission. you know. -drinks: beer and cocktails available on menu but I've never gotten them because I probably won't remember the movie if I did haha

First time at an Alamo Drafthouse cinema! I enjoyed the concept of being able to order food that wasn't just popcorn or corn dogs at the movies, which makes the concept of dinner and a movie very easy to execute. The servers were friendly and did a great job delivering my food without interrupting the viewing experience. The space has an "old theater" vibe, which was a nice change from the usual modern theaters in place nowadays. The food service is a significant part of the experience here, so hearing + seeing servers come and go during the movie was not an issue - just something to expect. Looking forward to watching another movie here.

Love my experiences here. The concept of getting hot food and alcoholic beverages delivered to my seat mid movie makes me feel so special. It's a nice large theater with incredible vibes.

I love that I can go to a movie a day with the monthly pass. They play both classics and first run movies. There is a restaurant here and they serve you at your seat. The menu is much more limited than it used to be, but it's still mostly tasty. Be sure you go early to get your menu order in and to watch the pre movie show. They show clips from old shows, commercials, etc, that have to do with the movie that you're seeing. Usually, I can figure out why they chose a particular clip while I'm watching the movie. The public parking lot closes at 10 pm on weeknights, so if you're going to a late movie, be aware. Friday and Saturday nights, it closes at midnight.
